The DH-200/100 is fabulous. As others have stated it is amazing how such a piece of equipment has held up for over 25 years. As time goes by it is likely that this item will become collectable. I moderate the digitalhorns group on yahoo. You are all welcome to join: http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalhorns

BTW did you know there are two styles of keys on these models. It is worth checking out the forum as there is a post on how to adjust both types of keys to avoid them breaking...

I compose with my computer and naturally im interested in hardware too. This one day i was going throught my girlfriends attic and i stumbled upon a brand new Casio DH-100, i ripped the package open and hit the batteries in. Now i just cant seem to put it down. I've playd a flute some years ago, so it wasnt so hard to master the basics of the Digital horn. Nice, toyish piece of equipment. The only thing what lower the points of this piece, is the bit toyish sound of some of the tones in it. Still, very nice. Not near the real thing, but very nice.

Martin Tauchen a part-time user from Germany writes:
The DH100 is really amazing.Firstly,it is a toy. But what a toy. A professional Windplayer would prefer more the WX controllers by Yamaha. But the DH100 has some very high positive values. You can make music with it,without any Midi setup. It is portable and the build in sounds are really not bad.I was impressed, that such an old digital and toyish thing, could sound so good. The Ultima Ratio is the Midi section.Really great with synths of the Yamaha VL-Line.Unbelievable. The only best way to control the VL synths,is the DH100 or Yamahas WX controllers. To play VL sounds by keyboard is worse. With Midiguitar Vl sounds much better. But DH100 tops it.Only the WX series is a little better and more professional. The DH100 is an underrated piece of instrument. And not really a toy. Problems are known with the build in speaker.Mine works still perfect.

This is a great little horn!!!! The greatest part about it is the portabilty. Take it anywhere without disturbing anyone.

Has anyone gotten it to work with a MIDI notation software such as Finale or Sibelius? Let me know!!

I just bought a used dh100 and I love it. I have only played with the internal sounds and I find them great. Feels like well spent money and I would easily buy another one if I find one.
