One ot the coolest Casios ever made. It's prgramable, well built and looks great too. Has midi in and out as well as RCA plug outputs (perfect for adding to your ordinary stereo, or a 4 track recorder, etc.), pitchbender and stereo chorus effects are nice too. You use a good sized dial to change parameters (sort of like Rolands Alpha dial of the early 90's) making that easy to do. Mine is kind of rough looking, but I got it for super cheap. When I find a pretty one, I may just get it and give mine away to someone who'd really like it. Pick up one of these, a definate 5.

I purchased the HT-700 about 10 years ago and paid about $200.00 dollars for the keyboard. I think it was put on the market about that time also. It's a great board but I could never use it on stage as a serious keyboard, but I do enjoy it as a personal home keyboard. Two keys have broken off of the keyboard.

I just bought an HT-700 from a flea market for 20 bucks! It is in perfect condition and clean as a whistle. It has more sounds and options than any other keyboard of its time, it has fucntions of a synth and some killer sounds.

Deb Walther a hobbyist user from Hopedale, MA USA writes:
Whne I was in college, I worked at Macy's on LI, int eh electronics dept. We had the HT-700 for like $450! We had a Casio rep demonstrate it and I fell in love w/ it..but lacked the $450. A few years later, I saw it for $150 in an ad in a photography mag...so I got one, as did my bro. A few years ago I wrote Casio inquiring about the Ram cards...a very nice rep sent me one...said it was her last.

Tha keyboard has doen wonders over the years. I've used it as a drum machine (try it through some guitar effects...wicked cool!) and for background. The only negative is the power adapter...I've been unable to plug it in since 1989...a few months after I bought it! I've heard this problem is common.

PS I will never part w/ the Ram card, so please don't ask. I will scan the manual and email it if anyone needs it. Contact me privately.
