From what I've read from you folks so far makes me cherish my HT-700 all the more. Unlike any of you, I picked mine out of a trash can in front of some one's house on my way to work. I play drums and Guitars but never could figure out the keyboards. This baby had all it's left side keys broken off as well as it's power terminal loose. I had to take it all apart, literally cleaning and drying it out, and ordering the keys for it; which wasn't easy. No one seemed to carry them any more. I was astounded at the sound, depth of features and it has. My only headache is, just can't seem to find a manual or the Ram Cards for it.
So if anyone happens to knows where I can get both the Manual & Ram Cards, Please email me.

I have this old grate keyboard, for me was fantastic, because I learn a lot about MIDI and editing sound. I will give it to my niece but I'm looking for the ht-700 manual too.

Purchased my HT-700 off of ebay a while ago, and i've had it a few weeks. The depth of programming is ASTOUNDING- you have control over an amazing amount of timbres, LFO type, depth, evelop, DCA, VCF, resonance, cut-off, ADSR, all that good stuff. The rhythm accompaniment is rather nifty- the 16beat sounds akin to some trance rhythms- with the lowfi tom sound. I'm falling in love with this synth, but i'd trade my left testicle for a RAM card or 2 for it. I can't figure out how to save to internal- which is a drag, i dont know- i sent off to casio for a manual- maybe i'll get it. I'm a big fan of the old casios. I grew up on a CT-700 and I can only imagine what kind of insane sounds I'd be making now if i'd have had an HT-700 w/ a RAM card if i'd had it growing up. I'm very impressed with this synth- the control wheel/menu thing is a bit agrivating compared to the smooth knobs of an analog, but i dare anyone to find something that sounds this good and has as much control over the synthesis and waveform and timbre for 40 bucks. I've found that there is surprisingly little information about this wonderful synth, like it's some strange mysterious ghost of an FM= har har

I have had an HT700 for years now, every so often I get frustrated with it because the choice of rhythyms was so limited, although the sounds were good. I put it away then and go back to the piano. Just lately though, have started recording on a Tascam 414 and guess what? The old HT700 sounds great and you don't need a mike because you can connect it directly with the line in/line out thingy. I gave �160 for it back in the early nineties, it had just been reduced from over �300! But I don't think I'll ever give up on it unless it gives up on me. There's always space for an instrument like that.

A friend of mine had one when we were younger (5th grade or so). And I remember sitting around and playing it for hours. It was fun to change the sounds and what not. He also had an SK-5 (spoiled?). But it was the HT700 that made me jealous. I miss it. If anyone is selling, I am willing to buy. Let me know.
