The MG-510 may not be a Roland but it also will not set you back nearly so far financially AND it will control your MIDI rack which a Roland CANNOT do!! (HAHAHAH!!) While the tracking on mine is not perfect, it is very much respectable and extremely usable. It all really depends on what you want it to do., but I can live with the tracking imperfections, at least I have so far. :)

Yeow! This things is bloody AWFUL !!! I cannot imagine how this miserable piece of gear has developed a cult following... The tracking is painfully slow and the electronics were of a VERY low quality. Why bother when there are so many better options? (Can you say BLUE CHIP?)

It just goes to show - Once you stop making them people realize they can't live without them!!!

I love this thing!! Mine plays quite nicely all things considered. The experimental possiblilities are immense!! I can control 6 different synths at once (each on a different string). This is too much fun. Not a bad lookin axe either...even has a built in tuner. Hard to find these puppies.
