Sound very organic and analogic vs Nord Lead 2 . Good filters , only 2 oscilators , snif !! ... but the cure ? the STACK function !! I love this button , stack up to 24 x 5 virtual voices and launch in a single keystroke! Overkill!!!!! Aghh...

Bitchin' synth! Will pierce any concrete, shall move any wall, pads to die for, easy and quick to use, highly addictive knobs and looks. Best pitch bender ever! Light to carry around, still built like a tank. My little wee humble wish list: that xtra octave, please, won't send arps over midi, no fx xept voice detune, ehm well, you really need any?

Heja Sverige, rest my case:)

I have been using the NL3 for the past 3 weeks, I have to say, This is one great sounding VA keyboard. Sounds are smooth as silk, very close to analog warmth, very detailed timbres, clean sound, and with lots of expressive power, character, the NL3 shines ! One feature that I find very nice is the Morphing feature, you can have four parts all alive, but use the morphing function to morph the outputs as well, so besides morphing parameters of each part, you can morph one part into another via by modulating the volume of each part (so A -> C -> BC -> DA > ABC ) via modwheel of other modulation sounce. This great for playing pad sounds that keep changing, evolving, expressing themselves..etc. You can play a morphing pad sound of a long time and not get bored ! Adding a dedicated effects unit does add more depth to it, I feel it is a must, especially a good reverb, but the NL3 does sound good without additional Reverb, but adding reverb just gives it that needed polish, and additional pro sound to blend in a mix. As fas as the more lead type sounds I think if you want a lead sound to cut through a mix, for trance, techno, applications, using FM is one way to do it, if you want more, a dedicated distorion effect can do wonders if assigned to a dedicated output/s on the NL3. The user interface is a Winner ! This is one of the nicest synths keyboards to program on the market, a joy to use, Warning ! can be very addictive ! The NL3 is classy synth. I won't be surprised if it becomes another classic like the mini moog.

i have owned the nord 3 for two years now, and it is still amazing me with what i come up with one this board!

i thought i might sell it because software can do so much, but every time i find something great sounding in software, i can create it with the nord lead 3 and it just sounds better!

the nord 3 imho is a pad lovers dream come true! but also great for some really evil sounding arp patterns!

no effects! whatever! i have pedals and a koass pad. but you dont need any to make it sound like your actually using effects!

the multi filters on this synth are the best i have heard in a stand alone synth period. you can program your own effects with the filters and they sound amazing!

nord lead 3 gets a 5!

Excellent machine. The best sounding, most versatile VA on the market. Can sound fat, thin, warm, punchy and crazy -> perfect for creating the mix you want. Best interface I've ever worked with. The NL3 has character, looks sexy and cute. I don't like the keyboard very much, wish it had the K5000s keyboard (5 octaves).
