Nord Lead 2 is the best for lead, pad, bass, noise, click sounds. I also love the percussion kits on it. It was priced a little high back when i bought it, but no other synth that i was looking at(jp8000, ms2000, cs6x) impressed me as much as NL2 did, i even liked it better then more expansive Virus, Novation or OB12. I have bought synths and i have sold synths, but Nord is a keeper.

Amazing Synthesizer. I own it from the time it came out. 24 dB Lowpass filter could have been better. Sound gets to thin with resonance compared to real analogue. Distortion function could be better also. Still you get good sounds out of it. No limits due to endless capabilities.

I own a Nord Lead 2 for more than 5 years. This machine has so many capabilities that you not experience any limits even after years.

But to be honest, I don't really like the 24 dB lowpass filter in this machine. Putting up resonance the sound quickly starts to become very thin. The filter markes the difference between the real analogue synths and this VA. With a better filter this red thing would have sounded better.

And the distortion function sounds to rough and could have been implemented better. Nevertheless you do get out of it some amazing sounds.
