Every time I think I may sell this one, I have one last play and it snares me again. Cannot let this synth go.

There are certain sweet spots where it sounds the most analog of all the VA's (including the Ion and AN1x). Once you find it, it can sound great.

There IS a way to see a numeric display of the parameters when you turn the pots. Just hold down shift and press the top left LFO button.

Now when you turn a knob, it will show the parameter.

harmono a hobbyist user from US writes:
First of all, the knobs, and buttons are all laid out so that it's fairly easy to use. Advanced features require reading the manual, but reading the manual is more of a pleasure than a pain. I only can compare the sounds to my old Roland SH-101, or my Roland JV-1010. The sounds are more than satisfactory for such a low cost keyboard. There are 61 keys, but they are larger 76 key type keys, and I like the feel of the keys. Don't expect lots of effects, it's purely classic Analog style emulation. This is 2007 and it still basically works. I love almost everything about it. The way it looks, sounds, feels, works. I like how it's a metal case rather than plastic, and it's got wood, and stone parts rather than all plastic.

Ok heres my little hostory how i got to the Nord Lead. I didnt like it that much when it came out and later i always thought that the Access virus was better. Recently i got a pretty good offer to Buy a Nordlead1 Keabord with a 12 voice Expansion. I didnt expect much, actually i just wanted to use it as a master keybord. Man i was wrong. when i switched it on and played with it i couldnt believe how i could ever dislike the nord. This thing is a beast. It sounds so damn good...depp dark dirty , sexy, mean, cold , warm...u name the nord has it all. this thing sounds awesome without any FX...i´m absolutely in love with it.

Ok here goes, sounds really corny, but this thing delivers those sexy lead sounds ive been looking for - almost Neptunish you could say. So far ive only been to use two parts, but i dont care i do a fat melody with the NORD, tweak it with the emu pk6 knobs (wtf...sounds better tweaking with the pk6 than the nord surface) and lay down bits with the Emu PK6, JV880, and Trin rack and it sounds like what ive been looking for, i sequnece/sample with the mpc3K and everything is perfect. this is them missing link ive been looking for and it was only $325, class mang. fo real. satay hyph. rip mac dre.
