GOOD SOUND FOR YOUR MONEY!! and at this price you would expect some low quality crud!, but the card is near TOP O THE LINE!, well in my opinion anyway...
Great midi synth, and so far nothing has been bad about this card!

I got the SB Live Value for $40. Hey, at this price you shouldn't expect world-class; frequency response is not top of the notch and I doubt the noise level is as low as actually 100dB SnR. Standard Creative 2MB GM banks suck but pump in the 8MB banks on the included CD, and put some cream on top of it with a slight reverb+chorus, and you have a decent MIDI controller with low latency that actually sounds remarkabley good for the price. It makes decent recordings thru the LineIn and Mic jacks. Has SPDIF Out as well. For $40, I feel that I got more than I paid for.

The latency really sucks..but it gets better if you use the audigidy beta drivers for the SBLive! the A/D converters are really cheap and suck ass....so your recordings will sound crappy(noy really crappy but if u are as picky as me and notice..u will understand. now they say that this is the best card...and bang for the buck....WELL HELL NO! there are much better cards that are even cheaper some what(Midiman Audiophile 2496)way better crad TRUST ME. Put it this way if your gonna be doing a lot of recording and don't want to spend a mill get an Audiophile.
