Hi, I use this little keyboard hooked up as a midi keyboard controller but I dont know how to change the display contrast! Things are looking decidedly dim and the characters are almost invisible - if anyone knows how to alter the display - please write and let me know! I thank you - Andy. (andymartinvm@hotmail.com)

I highly recommend buying a chorus pedal for the CZ synths which don't have a chorus effect built-in. The CZ1, 3000, & 5000 come with built-in chorus; the CZ-101 and 1000 do not. Sometimes CZ sounds need a little bit of post-processing to kind of fatten them up/smooth them out and just adding a simple chorus effect, if not already built-in, between the CZ and your amp will make it sound really great!

The main lead from: Salt n'Peppa - push it, is from a cz-101, sounds really cool :D

The casio cz-101 is my first synth besides the sk-1 and casiotone mt-70. I bought it solely on appearance and size because i don't like the huge synthesizers. (small hands here) I love the design and solid structure of this tiny synth. The sounds are great...the programming may not be easy but with patience defintitely worth the time...Good for solid bass to cut through a track or ambient background sounds and anything inbetween! Highly recommended!

One of the most analogish digital synths to date and responsible for solid basses heard on hundreds of house records to date - a little more time needed than analog to get sounds just right, but it comes up with the goods if the time's taken to properly explore and program. Substantial, weighty and dense sound, not as thick as analog but with a digital tightness and somewhat static, sterile quality. With that proviso, it's punchy-some of the best acoustic bass emulations i've heard if not the best-bass on the Rick Astley cuts pretty damn good! Hard to do without even with analog synths on hand because it's a nice contrast. Somehow it's rewarding to spend some time to find some excellent sounds in something so toylike in appearance - lots of untapped potential under the hood if the time's invested.
