i've owned a A-100 b2 for one week now and it has been a thrilling/ confusing/ humbling experience! its small and cramped as mentioned before, but i have small hands which helps a bit! i liked the compact size and the amount of flexibility in 6 racks. since i landed an MS20 6 months ago the need for knobs to tweak has grown steadily and has been satisfied by the smooth responsive feel of the A-110's! very well constructed and layed out very nicely! with the possibility of expansion at a reasonable price, i see a growing monster in the cards! the transaction with ENPORT was fast and a pleasure, first class all the way. i'll have more to say on this beast in the future! 6 ru's of modular mayhem for $1770 is hard to beat,IMHO!

The bs2 is outstanding. patch up a 4-step analogue sequencer, a kickdrum sound and a bass sound-controlled by the sequencer and you got a tune! You dont need midi with this fella!

Don't let the price tag fool you, this is a quality synth. The day following my receipt of a BSII, I found myself placing an order for quite a few additional modules. Although the BSII is a fully functional system with more than adequate modulation and filtering, it did nothing but wet my appetite....OK Doepfer, you can reel me in.

The BS2 configuration is a brilliant machine for the money. The Oscillators and filters are superb - very stable and very powerful and the Env gens are so fast that you have to back them off to about 1 to avoid a click...Its flexibility is superb - it probably not a good idea for beginners as a true modular takes some time to get even fairly simple patches going. The midi interface is very good tho' I cant seem to activate "multi trigger" mode ? If your not careful you can also be looking at a new set of monitor speakers or new woofers at least ! There is nothing out there to touch it in terms of what you get for your money. I only have 2 complaints : 1. Its quite cramped so if you have 30+ patch leads in it starts getting very fiddly. 2. It's a potentially bankrupting hobby !!! New modules coming out look very inetersting indeed. I would recommend this system to anybody who is serious about analog synthesis. OUTSTANDING !
