Hi
This is a sample and hold synth. Its great strenght is the modulation capabilities ,which also can be found at EMU's Proteus series synths.Other really nice points includes build quality, 3 stereo outs ,a decent FX stage, and digital out. A reasonable question might be why should I choose Audity instead of a Proteus 2000 synth? Well ,first of all there is the price factor. You can find Audity for cheap now days.Personally ,I also like very much its samples. I know that many people dont like the factory patches. One advise people. Before you judge it ,take the time to tweak it.... I had this synth, and I was stupid enough to sold it.Needless tyo say I regreted it countless times.BUT, I re bought it 10 days ago.And here is why.I was working to a song ,and tried to find some sound I like for it.Well I had no luck ,althought I have lots of synths including the Yamaha AN1X [its amazing ,fat sounding ,BUT Audity can get you really crazy stuff].At that time I wished to have my Audity there....and I was lucky to find one.And on top of it ,I only paid 200 euros for this. Now thats what I call good luck. One last note. When I sold my unit ,I got immediately the EMU Emulator X desktop sampler:even if now I have that ,there are times that I need to tweak a patch real fast.Audity is superb to get you SOUND really deep and really fast.
