The audity is pretty cool but would be nice if it had the audition feature so you could whip through the sounds easier. Nice machine in many ways but is probably over-rated and over priced compared to the newer stuff. Emu is blowing these out for $299. Not bad!

Get the XL-1 instead. Cheaper and expandable too.

I would not buy this module either. The newer ones are much better. This one is worth maybe $100 but not more. Save your money and get something better. Just like it says here in many review theres no reason to get this module when you can get a 128 voice Proteus 2000 for just a bit more. It makes much more sense in every way. Especially when you consider the fact that this one is not upgradeable with any of the Proteus 2000 ROM series. Too bad. Avoid.

one more thing...buying the Audity 2000 is about as clever of a move as buying the "old" and crusty "planet phatt" or the original "orbit". WHY? is really the question when for like $100 more you can get the NEW MoPhatt or Orbit. There is nothing special in the Audity 2000, and you cannot find the ROM expansion for it anywhere..trust me. The XL-1 has all that and way more and its dirt cheap now. Plus the XL-1 can be upgraded....not the Audity 2000.

I agree with the Dude below. This product is a total waste of money compared to anything in the new line of Proteus 2000/2500 synths and command stations. I see people buying these for top dollar on eBay and it just makes me laugh. I cant believe that people are paying like $300 for this crap when they could get a Vintage Pro module or Proteus 2000 for that. BIG difference. The Audity 2000 was nice in its day but has been surpased heavily buy the new EMU gear. Stay away from this module unless you want to throw money down the tube. I owned 2 of them WITH the coveted Xtreme expansion. NOT WORTH even $200 fully loaded. Save your money for the good stuff. I would take any newer emu Module over this puppy any day. Think about that. And if you still gotta have this Oddity, then go over and get one at EMU on blowout for only $299, but it aint worth it in my opinion. For that much cash, id go for a used vintage pro (or new one for only 399). Dont waste your money like i did or you'll be dumping it on eBay like i did to some guy who dont know any better.
