Got mine last night and i cant stop messing with it. Everything sounds so much better since i left the Roland sound! I just got mine, so im using the 1.0 ROM still, i have yet to experience full power of this lil guy. The presets have everything, from Bleepy Bloopy LFO's to a weird vocal patch that literally talks!. I have yet to edit and delve into the machine, as i only got it last night, but from what i hear, its a great contestant to be a very popular machine. The front panel is fairly intuitive, it has realtime knobs for Filter envelope, filter cutoff, Q, and so forth...the Filter types it is preset to is pretty nice, i like it alot. THe knobs on the audity are amongst the best ive twiddled, theyre so fluid and so nice to turn, oooH!! Id consider the drums the only weak, point as theyre not what everyone likes..very strange kits in here indeed, but my particular favorite is this one called "k'work it" Its a 909'ish Kraftwerk type set, WAY COOL!!..Well, thats my review until now, ill update it once i get the 2.0 ROM and possibly the Xtreme expansion board

It´s the best synth module i´ve ever heard!!! The preset sounds are only the beginning,i´ve made a lot of new sounds(never heard type)and i think it´s one of the best tools to make all kinds of electronic music.(perfect for drum&bass,triphop...)The 50 filter types are great, thanks Emu.I have a NordLead1 too and it sounds a little more harder than Audity.

Thyis is a strange one....it has all manner of wonderful sounds and 16 (yes 16) arpeggiators to play with. Why do you need 16 ? God knows. I've only gotten up to 4 running at the same time.....sounds pretty mental.... The sounds are pure techno, no wimpy stuff here. This is the only gripe and that's the Digitalness of it. It's pretty easy to lose some of the sounds in a full mix, so this is no competition for a nord lead or a supernova. So who's it for ? Well I think anyone who's considering a groove product but already has a computer would love this beast. It enables you to thicken up any tune with all kinds of bleeps and warblings.... the arps have 200 preset patterns, some of them really good, and 100 more can be stored by the user. On top of the MC505 type sounds its a damn good synth module for strings and pads and even drums (some of these kits are wild) Anyone into techno should hear this before they buy, it's superb. But be warned, it won't stop you wanting that virus or whatever to play over the top. Then again, there never was a perfect synth, least of all for US$1000
