I found the sounds so usefull that I bought a second Vintage Keys Plus Module as a back-up. I originally used VKP with an EMU MPS. I retired the MPS and starting using a KORG Triton. When I retired my Hammond B3, I MIDI'ed the VKP with a KORG CX-3 as the controller.

Well il say this , i bought the new version vintage pro with effects and this module is like having candy of old school flavor in your pocket emu has really did a good job updating this module with the features of the new proteus engine and with 128 polphony to , the new fender rhodes patches are sweet i seen them tucked away in studio racks and even onstage prob one of the best price racks out there with a all new sample set of old school .

It's not perfect but it keeps me from having to lug around all my old gear on tour. It does 90% of what I want it to do - which is alot because I'm an admitted anal-retentive vintage snob. Not really "cold", which is a rare treat in digital. Well done.

Follow-Up a professional user from Where-Ever writes:
The Vintage Keys and Plus DON'T HAVE BUILT IN EFFECTS PEOPLE. I've got the plus and it has no effects. E-Mu has just come out with the Vintage Pro and that is based on the Proteus 2000 and this does have effects. What is different is that there was something really nice about the portamento in the Vintage Keys and Plus models that I really like. Very analog. This is also true of the filters; very nice and analog; even though they are digital.
