I was lucky to stumble across an extremely well built Formant recently and I am so glad I did. Can you believe I use it more, and find the sounds more inspiring than my ARP2600. It's easy to create insane noises and yet simple to achieve a classic sound. And what a huge sound it is!

Amazing bass sounds and you can modulate everything. Extreem noises like percussion, ringmodulated aliensstuff, continueing evolving background ambience... Vco's and filters sound fat. No out-of-tune. Mine has banana-connectors, which is a pre since you can replug the sources. I love my formant :)
