who said hardware is dead??? the sounds that come from this little machine are out of this world. When i first bought it it sounded crappy and flat but after some time of tweaks and when i really understood how it works, it just blew me away. Fm is fantastic if you want a prodigy kind of sound and awesome on electro and for fat basslines. Effects are great too!! will definetly buy the sps1uw for now I know elektron build such magnificent pieces of machines.!!!!!!

Also the build quality is probably the best out there besides perhaps Vermona.

Wow. The 0/5 score and the last 1/5 review are ridiculous. This machine is the center of my rig and I also have other nice synths like a Moog Voyager, Machinedrum, Nord Electro, etc. The sequencer is a big part of it, and extremely good for creating new songs and sequencing other equipment. This instrument is fun and helps you come up with new songs very quickly. The sounds are excellent. It can do anything from experimental glitch to droney ambient. Fantastic!

ooh, what a curious machine. Badly built (You get bloody fingers toucing it because of the sharp edges), the sounds ary ugly (some have a click at the start), unergonomical (while editing the hand covers the display). I bought one and sold it after few days. The sound is flat, editing a mess. - A Hype and nothing else!

absolute class and worth every penny. sounds better than a nord, waldorf, whatever. like a mega-nanoloop you can easily sequence ANY parameter for each track. beautifully made, superb interface, everything is clear and easy to access, it is nigh on perfect. this does drums and percussion aswell as FM, SID emulation, vocal synth, lofi wavetable synth, analogue type, etc etc etc. built in effects are superb. will also sequence upto six external midi tracks aswell as the six internal 'machines' so perfect for live use or a minimal studio setup. pricey but well worth it especially if you find a secondhand one. awesome.
