I bougt my Rhapsody in 1979 second hand, sold it in about 1986 and bougt it back in 2003. The sound is typical for Tangering Dream ans Tim Black music (go for TIM Blake CHRSYTAL Machine). The piano an clavichord are totally cheasy. The strings are like the Solina. But all togehter is perfect. I got Service manual Hajo from Düseeldorf

Matthias Stock a part-time user from Germany writes:
With this Stringensemble you haven´t got many different sounds but you don´t have to worry about that because the few sounds you get are very good. In comparison to the famous Solina String Ensemble it sounds much harder and brilliant which is very usefull if you want to process the sound any further with filters, phasers or other tools. Imagine the Rhapsody as a good source for any treatment of sound which is based on the principle of subtractive synthesis. This won´t mean that you can´t use it without effects but doing it is one of its best points. The piano and clavichord sounds on their own are a little bit boring but they are strong together, each at maximum level and with the shortest decay time; you can even increase this if you also mix the string sounds to piano and clavichord. Try this altogether with a spring-reverb....wonderfull!

Pablo Ojeda a hobbyist user from Portland, OR writes:
I purchased an Elka Rhapsody 610 used. It has its original case and besides missing a fader knob is in good condition. I am having a difficult time trying to find the going price for such a keyboard. If anyone knows or knows of any resource I could use to price this keyboard please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
