Good 'n' cheap! I probably would have bought the Yamaha if it had been out when I bought my ESI but I still think the ESI was the best buy at the time. Has anyone used the expansion board (more filters, outs and effects)? How is it?

Since you can get a new ESI-4000 with internal zip, I

called EMU to ask if I could retrofit my ESI-32 to have

an internal zip. They said that the older ones could because

the power supplies were big enough to handle the syquest, but

the newer ones can't. Mine is fairly new, so I don't know. Anyone

tried this? BTW, zip drive is great, but an external hard drive

(you can get a 1.2 gig for $200 nowadays) is heaven. For

connecting to a Mac, there's a program called "Transfer Station".

Has anyone tried it?
