A great sounding unit with some nice touches that give you a feeling of hands-on control - very cool.
The sounds are rich and full, and can be expanded with some very high quality upgrades which I shall be investing in. Soundwise I am very pleased indeed. Thanks Emu.
However, this item is built very cheaply. The case is made of quite thin metal and it is very lightweight and insubstantial comapred to similar equipment from Roland and Yamaha. I have gigged it a little and it has already suffered very badly from a couple of very modest knocks, one of which resulted in about 10 of the numerous LED lenses to drop out (they are not glued in place - simply held in by the rigidity of the case structure).
For an item that has an onboard sequencer designed for live use this is pretty unforgivable, especially at the price point this was originally introduced at.
If you plan to run one live, case it up, and be very careful with, and it will reward you with some amazing live sounds. 4 for sound - 2 for build.
