I bought my VFX SD in 1989 when I had a dou, I played gutar and my girl played keys. Down sizing from a for peace band I vfx sd and esq 1 have me everything I need to sound like a 10 peice.I had very little problems with either while traveling about the country. As the years went by i first had seperation of the keys not playing the oscilators, I midi around that But now I have lost the seqencer programs from the disk and can't find another It is a 1.32 or larger version If any one can get me a copy I would bright life back to this great keyboard. I write alot and it covers ever prodution need I have. I am at Jimsfamousfud@aol.com

Phillip L. Wood (PIANO PHIL) a professional user from usa writes:
I recently had to sell my VFX-SD in order to keep a roof over my head. I am seriously considering putting the (earlier model) VFX in the lay-away at a local pawnshop($179.99) I must admit that there were a couple bugs in my VFX-SD and I have heard of such in many others, however,I am convinced that some of the best orchestral synth sounds available(even today) can be found on these early Ensoniq synthesizers. If you already have good Piano/Organ sound sources from other keyboards or modules, etc. then you should really try giving a listen to these hard to find (but worth the effort) jewels.

For "peter muyenga": You'll find support for ensoniq products at www.emu.com e.g. OS 1.30. Btw nice sampler (read a lot about it). I own a SQ80 and a VFX SD and will never part with it.
