I'm a full time Producer (Dance, House, Jazz-house, RnB) I bought into Ensoniq (TS-10, ASR-10, MRack, etc.) in 1995...that's 11 years ago, and I still use all 3 of these in my studio. They are simply still good enough to stay. The TS-10 in particular still holds up against most of my soft synths as well as other hardware I have accumulated over the years. Rich sounds, clearly defined, with great effects and wave processing...very editable. The are staying, along with my Yamaha NS10M's I guess?

Fedtmule a hobbyist user from DK writes:
The best things about the TS-10 are its marvelous keyboard - one of the best non-weighted ones I've played - its user interface in general with the blue-light display and everything readily at hand, and its expressiveness.

It really excels at complex, evolving, five-dimensional pads and stuff, and then it has some of the most expressive and playable e-piano presets I have tried - especially thanx to the great keyboard. The piano presets are also fairly good for its age, btw.

On the downside, the so-called rotary speaker sim is a joke and had better been left out, but the remaining effects are usable, while not impressive by today's measures.

If only I had one myself...

Compared to the technics wsa1, which is better the ts10 or wsa1? I have a choice of both but am not sure. Thanx

HUGE TITS fan a part-time user from Tokyo, Japan writes:
I hated the presets on this synth, because half of them were only there to show how awesome it's "piano sound" was. Erase them and you can get some nice and warm synth sounds, with plenty of waves to foster your creativity and experiment with. But one of the best things about using this synth is the Ensoniq interface. I love it. Quite a few parameters are on screen at one time with dedicated buttons for each one. So simple, yet workstation manufacturers have scarcely developed anything better since this board, and it's predecessors, were released. Because of the wonderful interface and unique synth architectures, I'm also looking for some of the other Ensoniq synths, like the VFX SD, SQ-80, etc. And that should be endorsement enough.

HUGE TS fan a part-time user from USA writes:
Wow. I love this synth. Only an analogue can give similar control. Try finding an analogue with this many waves, parameters, and functions. It's not going to happen... let alone the monster sequencer. This was my first synth, and the only one I still own. It's the only one I need. Some of the sounds I've created while fiddling around have opened me up to completely new territory. Some of the sounds are what I've always searched for. The power and capacity seem limitless. The ultimate swiss army synth. This thing of beauty places me in an alternate Universe... and it feels so good. I've spent a good chunk of my life hunched over it's glowing blue screen. I can't believe they stopped making these luscious, succulent treasures.
