I never owned a TS10 or TS12 but I always lusted over one of these keyboards! I was using a Korg T3 that I still own and love and the TS would have been a perfect compliment to the Korg. I loved the 'Rude Guitar' sound.... to me one of the best distorted lead guitar sounds ever to grace a keyboard! I also liked the acoustic and other electric guitar sounds as well as the basses and EPs. I so wished that it had resonant filters and that you could sync the wave sequencing features to midi clock. None the less, this was a fantastic workstation for the time and it's a real pity that Ensoniq folded as a company.

I've been playing keyboards for 35 years and 10 years for a living. I bought my TS-10 new back in 1995, I still use it and pray nothing happens to it. I do cover music so the quality of brass, strings and many other instruments are very critical to me. I've been trying new keyboards out there but can't find anything that compares to my TS-10 so far, especially the brass. I've had horn players walk into a club while playing and would be amazed to hear a keyboard doing the brass when they expected to see real horns. I have had many compliments on the Ensoniq TS-10. It's my favorite so far.

I have just got one of these and i love it. Got a question for other users though? I can trigger it fine and record into the sequencer using my master keyboard, and send the tracks to internal sounds, record tracks etc great. If i set a track to send to midi to another module i can only hear the sound being played on the external device if i play back the recording. While i am playing or recording nothing gets sent to the external module until i hit play back. However, if i do the playing from the TS keyboard to a track sending to an extrnal unit i can hear the module playing during recording, so how come i can trigger external sounds from the ts keyboard but not from my master keyboard? only when a recorded track is playing back.

Got my TS10 for $250 at a store in New Hampshire and I love it! The presets are pretty good for the most part, but they can be edited. The sequencer is probably the best I've used in any keyboard. A great synth for the money!

The TS-10 is a winner. I'm amazed that more people aren't on this little known classic. Get one now! Can be had for cheap these days!
