For the first few months, this card was amazing...very clean sounding (which was the main reason I got it), but then...

One day, I started hearing static on the output of the card...BUS noise...everytime the computer did a calculation or my CD Drive starting reading a CD, I heard an insane amount of hiss....completely terrible for hard disk recording.....I emailed Guillemot, but they didn't offer too much assistance........

The HSP64 itself is a really good card. The Sound of the dautghterboard is great. It's clean and dynamic. The Midi synth sound nice too. I compared it with a Roland G800 and ofcourse The Roland was better but the HSP64 didn't do much less. The problem is th software. The dream chip is full synthesizer/sampler But the editor only uses half of its functions. I'm trying to make a cubase mixer-map but if someone already has a good editor? Send it to me!!!. I'm also looking for cool drumpatches.I also made a solution for the PnP pro problem. I installed the card and when everyting works fine in turned of the automatic configuration option in control panel.

I have not been able to get the MIDI synchronization to work at all.

MIDI cable and port works because I can play notes off of my XP-80 on the software and use the cable for joystick applications.

The packaged software seems as flakey as hell.

I agree with the other writer that their tech support sucks! They have not helped a damn bit!

They were supposed to send me an updated software disk, has not arrived.

The sound quality is fine. Without midi syncronization, the card is worthless to me.

Oh well more time and money down the drain... What can you expect from any of these companies, they all pretty much suck.

Anyone found a sound card out there that has fuffilled its expectations?
