The HSP is not a bad thing, but the sampler-functions are cheesy. And the S/P-Dif reduces the signal -2.5db. But Harddiskrecording is fine and everything works. I built the card in and it works. If you are looking for a built in sampler for your pc, save the money...for everything else it is nice and cheap.

Mark Pilkinton a part time user from USA writes:
I think this will be my last product from Guillemot. I use a multiple boot setup with NT/95, and have asked many times when will there be something besides beta for NT. Their tech support seems to be a couple of smart-ass kids with an attitude that will not give an answer. The other problem is the ribbon cable for the add-on card. IT'S TOO SHORT. This is an ISA card, and is always on the bottom. After talking with their tech support they told me to remove one of my PCI cards so I could mount the RCA plugs. HA. I have a slot in the back of my computer at the top, above my PCI, ISA, and AGP slot that would work fine, but the cable is to short. I have three computers and all ISA slots are at the bottom, and they all have an opening in the back that does not require a PCI, ISA, or AGP slot for such an add on card like the Home Studio Pro. You would think that when they made the Home Studio Pro ISA card with an add on daughter card “which does not require a slot on the mother board” would have been supplied with a cable long enough to reach from top to bottom. I have made a couple of calls to their smart-ass tech support about the problem, and was basically told, to bad. The last time I talked with them they said they would see if one could be made. If so they would e-mail me, but it’s been a few months and I haven't received an e-mail. I could go and have a cable made, but the RCA in’s and out have a lot of noise so I think it makes more since to get a better card.
