I use the Hammond-Suzuki XM1 with drawbar remote and a Hughes Kettner Tube rotosphere for the Leslie effect---I played a B3 in clubs years ago and as far as I'm concerned this is the best thing Ive heard for a gigging musician other than the Korg CX3 which doesnt come as a rack mount--you have to buy the whole keyboard--the B3 samples in all of the synths( and Ive tried them all) out today sound like shit to a discerning keyboardist who needs real B-3 sounds for rock, funk, soul & jazz gigs

I have been using a beat-up used XM for several years. It has never let me down so far. Sounds great and is an amazing thing. I love it honkin thru my Leslie 147. (I use Leslie combo interface). I velcro the drawerbar module it to my Ensoniq SQ-2. Use an old Mac Printer cable to interface to drawbar (these are now disappearing, get a spare now).
Issues: a) Lack of dedicated expression pedal port (I want to isolate expression pedal to organ only) Not easily done when guesting at someone else's keyboard. b)Hammond/Suzuki wants a fortune for owner's manual (no downloadable). c)Main module is not easily rack mounted (again H/S wants fortune for rack ears). d) High price for Leslie interface kit.

I´m a 43 years old keyboard player, hearing the Hammond sound thru 28 years, listenning Santana,Deep Purple,Yes,etc. And if you have no chance to buy a B3 and a Leslie (for money or carrying reasons) this is the best deal you can make. The sounds are outstanding, the Leslie simulator (10 types) and the overdrive are okay to the typical listener.(me)
The set is composed of a module and a nine drawbar(real) controller with old fashioned look.(lovely)
Good luck with the portable beast! Kike

I love this module, because I can get the sound of the real B-3. All the keyboards that emulates this sound, sound very funny, but the XM sound great. I use it in my gigs and I am very happy. The only thing that I don't like very much is the leslie simulator, but I think that you have to have a real leslie to have the real sound.

Yeah, excellent module! After half year use I've found one thing what
would be nice: A DOUBLE-DRAWBAR-CONTROLLER for both upper and lower
manuals!!! I hope manufacturer will hear this...
