powerful,but i don't know why still think the real 909 and its brother xbase punchy than this airbase....or maybe i'm wrong.anyway,already better than many emulators like drumstation and all shit-romplers,though the worst thing on it is knob-less!!!:(

Stands out in the mix. Will overpower samples or rom playback shit. Kick drum is intense. Can do things other analog drum machines cannot do.

Outstanding analog drum sounds. This is possibly the best analog drum box evva made. Only gripe is, as mentioned by da fella below, lack of knobs for real time tweekin'. But maybe Jomox will come to that and make a 2 rack unit knob version sometime soon, as the production of Xbase09's is coming to an end. That would really be da bizznizz. Analog freakz (like me) would simply have to by the prod. I'll happily stick to the Airbase for now, though.
