The Roland Juno 106 is an excellent synth but too limited and overpriced. If you want a great Roland synth for putting together killer dance tracks then get the Roland JX305, it is far superior to the Juno 106 in sonic capabilities & features. And even has effects & onboard sequencing, and is cheaper on the second hand market. I owned a Juno 106 until I heard my friends JX305 & what it could do. I sold the Juno 106 and got the JX305, now musical ideas are a joy to lay down.

A fun, easy and OK sounding analog synth. You can make a lot of good sounds with this one. But you have to invest a little time...to get to know the lady.

Good midi specs. for its time. All sliders send midi data. Great stuff!.

Get to know this lady, and you will love her.

OK, just one osc. + sub. And the jupiters have 2 per voice,... I keep wondering where those 12 and 16 osc. have gone...The juno basses are still superior, the envelope has a faster attack than the Jupes. The Juno really has a sound of its own that can also be very lush, and although the jupiters are great I would never swap one with my 106. There are reasons why so many professionals and creative people use this synth. It is one of the all time greatest.

To correct something. Jupiters (expect Jupiter 4 maybe, have no experience) are very stable. JP-6 keeps tune very well. JP-8 has Roland's patent to keep it tune. MKS-80 works great as well. Anyway Juno is great synth and it's really easy to use. It didn't sound I wanted and expected but I think many found it very useful. It's very basic synth with DCO, great for straight synth sounds(well you can use it whatever, just use the outboard and imagination.
