Easy to use, versatile, nice sounding and good-looking. It's a classic. The overall sound of the 106 is not very harsh or rough, it has nice and harmonic 80's quality to it. But that doesn't mean that it produces a killer bass sound or a self- oscillating mayhem every once in a while. Every studio should have one.

FAT FAT FAT A truly great synth! I now know why everyone went ballistic over it! I just got one..pulled it out of the shipping box.. and sat there for hours just digging the warm tones. Yes..it does have a limited range of sounds..but every single one sounds good! Kick it into monophonic mode...earth rattling basses! Lush cords..screaming leads with a little distortion. Now..if I could just land a Jupiter-8 down the road!

The Juno 106 was the first analog synth that I purchased. It has remained my favorite. This thing is a pad "dream machine". I haven't written a single track since I got this unit that it wasn't used. It is a simple to use, nice sounding synth. I highly recommend it, especially for beginners.

this synth smokes. i bought a jp-8000 and sold it in 6 months to buy the 106. id even say it beats out the 60, though i may get some hate mail for it. i will never dump this thing. analogue + midi, what else does it need

oh.. you know... I forgot to give my opinion about the synth. It wasn't my first synth, I had a moog and an aol dalnalog korg whose name is not typable..(it would be a "A" or something if I had to give it a name...).. Anyways... Its a kickass synth. Im into hard and dirty psychedelic trance, and these (i got two of them) synths never stop to amaze me...

They can do mind-fucking lead lines.... Gut-wrenching basslines... Spacey pads to make you dream and fly away.. Most people complain about its simplicity.. I think it what makes it so unique. I had only a moog for 3 years and over I really learned how to make a monosynth do everything I want... When i got my juno... It was like heaven.. Of course.. if you're used to K2000s and stuff like that.. the 106 will seem childish to you and you probably won't even bother to get nasty sounds out of it. My advice is... buy one... unplug all your other synths... and spend some time with ONLY the juno... learn how to program it... This synth can split atoms and dephase reality in ways no other synths can.... Don't listen to the others saying its a simple basic floor model synth... I've been in the e-music industry for quite a fu****g big while now... And I would never part from my two 106... I'd rather sell my 303 before selling a knob-cap of one of my 106s....
