Mike Yates a hobbyist user from UK writes:
I'm loving my Juno2 right now. It's just as "warm" as the Juno60 (which we had for a little time) and it's versatile enough to get enough sounds as you want without making a sound that sounds a little simular to the last one. The rave sounds are the best - i think most of the alpha-juno's are in holland because they all want that rave sound.

No, the 106 and the Juno 2 does not sound the same. I do have both and must say that they are very different in every way. The @Juno is a very versatile synth and sounds more like a fat analogue/digital hybrid( 70% analogue, 30% digital), while the 106 sounds all analogue. The 106 has self-osc. resonance, the Juno 2 doesn't. The Juno 2 sounds more in yer face than the 106. And the JX 8 is more 'clean' sounding than either of the Juno's, best for pads and strings, brass etc. Don't let the size fool you, the @Juno2 is a beast of a synthesizer, one of the most rewarding if you're a good programmer. Hear Human resource- "Dominator"(Hoover heaven...or hell if you prefer), and Quench-"Dreams" and you get a little picture of what it can do....It can also do great electronic drums.

A reworked 106...the same insides just about, though this synth has more programming parameters..envelope control mostly. Sounds like one most of the time. famous for that hoover sound! Just about says it all. Oh, nice coloured display and JX programming. Buy a JX if you want a versatile synth or a 106 if your programming abilities are limited/inexperienced.

N8 a part-time user from CANADA writes:
I sold this synth last year and I am totally regreting it! The amazing sound you could get out of it and the stellar chorus, I was lucky enough to make 50 patch sheets so when I buy another one I will be able to relive this SWEET synth again. I have the JUNO 106 which is a better bass synth, but for original sounds and lush pads (need a footswith ev-5) then you can't go wrong. What a bargain these are, they cost like 200 dollars and sound better than most synths 5 times the value. Truly, I wouldn't have had half the last song without it from chorus on to chorus off it is useable. Fuck the Hoover, who cares about hoovers except twinkies.

Robin a hobbyist user writes:
I agree with Idrian completely!!!!! I will never sell mine! It is a wery reliable unit, the only thing that is little weak is the jog wheel and the flat plastic knobs but who cares? you can use the software to programm new sounds more easy.
