I picked this up for £90 from a reputable UK store. Originally intended to get a cheapo 4 octave controller to use with my Nord Nodular, but this was cheaper still!
Accept it for what it is. The keyboard is 5 octave, firm plastic feel, if you know what I mean, and the sounds are surprisingly good.
Polyphony stays fairly high even when you layer two sounds, (the pad sounds can sound very good layered), and the editing is so simple, you would have no hesitation about live work. If you are of a romantic disposition, there are some nice piano/e-piano and strings layers that are simple to set up and very playable.
In some ways, this is like the sound engine of the MV30 sequencer box. It sounds like a U20 with filters and basic effects. (The chorus is ON/OFF!)
You're not getting the sound quality of a D70 or a JD800, but then again, it's a hell of a lot easier to use! - you just sit down and play it.
That's what it's really for. Not programmers or tweakers. but people who actually play the keyboard.
I think I paid about the right price for this.
