my lady friend gave me a jx3p for x-mass...I love it!! the synth, although the midi spec, is an exellent buy. the warmth of this analog beast cannot be matched by any asm keyboard, thats certain. i wish i had another as well.

$80 with a stand :) in finland :) it's really easy to create sounds without the PG but the programmer shines when doing real-time modifications (even though it creates a zipper noise). architechturally much more versatile than a juno but the sound is colder, less mushed. anyway i love it for it's sfx, leads and sick drones.

The hell what you heard,This synth is really nice,Heavy??This thing is light,The sounds are nice, and for $200 bucks you get the vintage Roland strings-Beautiful!!!Also you get some kind of midi-Hey its better than nothing.Nice bass, and also it should only take you about an hour to total figure the JX3p structure WITHOUT the pg200 if you dont then truly your inpatient.By the way the Jx3p does not sound like the JX8p.All in all the Jx3p is worth its weight when all factors are weighed!!!

this synth ownz. all the analog type sounds you need for around $200. the pads and strings are especially great but if you try you can get WICKED bass. tweaking the sound afterwards helps a great deal as well. adding additional effects or filtering in a sampler for instance. the chorus is noisy so i hardly ever used it. the midi implementation isnt all that hot but i actually use it for my controller keyboard without a problem. one more thing........

unless you are an idiot you dont NEED the programmer. theres a map on the front that lays it all out for you. just takes a few more seconds then having an array of knobs to twiddle. excellent deal for the sounds. id buy it again for sure.....5/5
