This little freak is definitely one of the most individual of all synths. Its sounds are very unique.Filter is a killer and it can break your speakers and many more beyond that.Very, very warm sound on leads when you set the cutoff on low.It has beautiful portamento that acts for me better than Roland synths because it is so smooth(I dont know how to explain that but I think every man that heard this will agree).Because of many rootings and filter it is the best little synth for SF sounds. It has two envelopes with three mods and only attack and release.Only bad thing on this synth is a keyboard that is meant to be nice to it especialy now after some twenty years.Keys on keyboard dont stand separately and they are not attached with springs like on Rolands and Korgs but they are all together sticked on a thin metal plate that looks like a comb and the contacts are beneath. So be nice with your fingers on it because that plate after all those years is not elastic and healthy any more. What to say ... I have around twenty old analog synths but this one is one of my favourite and I can say vrey reliable.I had no problems with it after many gigs and studio work.

I relly love this instrument, since I got it even for free from a friend who borrowed it 15 years ago by himself. The sounds are unbelievable flexible for only one VCO, and the modulations are amazing. I sat for hours and created up to 40 diffrent sounds, lead, bass, SFX and even an unbelievable realistic Didgeridoo Sound! The only thing I want to know is, how tu use it with a midi interface, since mine seems to have no gate input? Maybe someone can mail me a tip ?

well, i love this beast. route any audio signal through it and your ears need a seatbelt. i think there's a good chance getting this synth very cheap (i bought it for 5$, thats the truth).

It's about 4 years ago, when i bought the kawai 100f from a strange old man living 100 m. from our studio. It was advertised as a good device to test audio systems. I didn't know at that moment what i was going to find. When i saw it for the first time i still didn't now what i was buying. The old man didn't knew it either, so i bougt it very cheap(HA HA). Once installed i knew what i bought. What on earth is this machine?? Only one osc. but yhe filters are F****** great. I resently wired the cv/gate function in combination whith the Syntech TB 303 but it will not work correcly. Is there anyone who can mial me any advice or drawing???
