I purchased my Kawai ES1 as soon as they were released in 2000 and have nothing but praise and adulation for this keyboard. Every sound is crisp and usable and I like the combining piano and strings and the many other combinations from a creative point of view. Have recorded several releases incorporating the sounds of this piano.
It is definately one of my favourite keyboards Ken Davis composer or ambient relaxation music www.kendavismusic.com

Excelente piano, se siente exactamente igual a uno acustico y tocarlo es estremadamente placentero, Los pequenos parlantes incorporados son muy suficientes para tocarlo regularmente y el sonido es estupendo y no distorciona, lo recomiento totalmente

When i first bought the Kawai ES1 i was extremely pleased with it; it sounds great, feels great, and is just a very nice keyboard. However, after a couple weeks, some annoying things started to happen. One of the black keys started making an annoying clicking noise whenever it was pushed down, and it felt a little loose. I got that fixed, but now multiple other keys are starting to click and feel a litte loose as well, and it's extremely annoying. I've heard from another person with this piano that the same thing happened, so i'd say go with another digital piano.

The Kawai ES1 is a fantastic digital piano. It has the sound and feel of a high-quality acoustic piano, and is also about as small as it can be with a full-size keyboard, which gives it great portability. The onboard speakers are terrific.
