My studio contains quite a few analogue synths. I had completely given up on digital synthesis until I played a K5s. A fantastic keyboard capable of making sounds, which should not be possible. Enough said.

After reviewing the K5000s and weighing its different features and stuff, I decided to try it because it looked so excellant. When I tried, my analyzing proved correct. This synth is the best thing to happen to digital synths. I love it !!! It kicks any other synths ass and I sincerley hope that everyone would agree with me on that.

It seems like this synth creates fanatics, and I'm one. This is a great synth for programing new sounds. The additive engine is very flexible. The learning curve isn't steep but it's very long; in other words, this synth has a lot to teach. What I've learned from the K5k about using the harmonic series has changed the way I use my analog synth. The R and S versions don't do GM or (good) drums, so it needs backup there. I don't think there's any style it doesn't fit, but it's indispensible for ambient and new age. The SoundDiver patch editing software is very helpful even though it's a bit touchy.
