Paul Rivers a hobbyist user from usa writes:
This is an excellent choice if you want to create sounds that have never existed before. Definatly a programmers synth. It definatly does not sound analog, but then again it doesnt sound stereotypicaly digital either. The sound from this synth is very unique. You probably wouldn't be able to recreate the patches on the K5000s on any other synth. The real time control is great! I love the fact that you can can and take away harmonics during performance. This means that you can altler the tone, shape, and charateristics of a sound in a way thats unlike the typical fequency cut off. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who likes alot a pre-made patches. And I doubt very much that this synth will be a large seller due to the complexity of the programming. (the computer programmer is definatly a must have). As i stated before though if you wanna create oringinal sounds from scratch, and you don't mind putting in the time and energy needed to learn how to program it, then buy this synth. I got mine for 799 great price. One other thing. The board itself feels great.

Shawn Reilly a professional user from U.S writes:
I work in a music store in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Just about a month ago we

became a dealer. I have been working with the k5000w ,and synth ,they bolth are

really amazing ,and inexpensive. I recently use ensoniq keyboards and samplers

,and now i am buying a Kawai k5000. The additive is really a nice feature,

also the apg is pretty cool. They have a really good feel ,and also is a very

user friendly board to work on. I already blew out my ensoniqs , and i am replcing

keys with kawai ,and akai samplers.
