This synth is discontinued. Got it for 450 from SAM ASH. Awesome architecture. Quite complex and configureable.

the sound diver editor sucks but you can do alot with it. No doubt. It really beats pure PCM synths. Find one cheap.

ALFREDO a hobbyist user from U.S.A writes:
I have a K5000s and I love it. the sounds are amazing. is about time someone came out with a keyboard that made original sounds and not just another keyboard(Roland and their groove line of crap) with retarded presets that try to imitate old analog synths. The k5000s is a unique synth and is worth every penny. so if your looking to create new sounds and are sick of trendy gear the k5000s is the way to go.

With this synth, experience further confirms: all silver keyboards are phenomenal. Trinity, Prophecy, Z1, and K5000. These are the shits of the keyboard world. Good luck finding anything better.

As for the K5000 in particular, I give it beyond a 5. This is the highest quality sound you will ever find in any board. Trust me, I've tried them.

Van A. Sikes a hobbyist user from USA writes:
Too early to draw conclusions, but, IMHO: PROS:

Terrific sound selection and parameter control.

Range extends with separate controller up to 88 keys CONS:

Best for solo or small chords because note stealing occurs easily beyond that if sustained.

Black keys more narrow than standard size - fingers easily slide off.

Henry J. Quince a hobbyist user from Finland writes:
It`s fantastic, fabulous and it`s a god... not Himself, but as a synth! ;-)

After Roland`s D-50 i was sure there would not be a synth what could make

"real" odd noises and sounds, but when I after a long obsession to test

that synth played K5000s I was totally shocked... those sounds and what u

can do to them... Oh my God!!! It`s perfect... no wonder they say you can create

your own world of sounds with it! If you don`t know what am I talking about and

you have NOT tested it before... it`s about time to do it, to change your

definition of a good synth.
