I just picked up one of these for $325 cdn. thought it was a good buy it is a nice
synth easy to program nice pad string sounds. Haven't fiddle with the bass patches
yet but I'll have to see if they can top the ones I can get out of my MG-1.
Anyway this synth will get all the attention for a while, it seems to have the
same data input as a certain moog synth (jog dial and big red led's to see in
dim lit clubs). Oh yeah does anyone have a manual.
Other synths I own:Juno 6/ Prohecy/ JX-3P/ Radio Shack MG-1/ Crumar Orchestrator

very cool keyboard. picked it up cheap, with no presets, so I have to do it all from scratch.
first off: the ensemble effect rules. looking for a pedal with the same chorus now...
also the programming is picky ie. some synths (like a juno) no matter what you do it sounds good (of course it all sounds the same too :) this gives you a wide variety of sounds, but you can make it sound awful, or you can make it sound nice. you really need to turn BOTH dcos on and detune them to get nice sounds. i've heard it sounds good with 1 osc then put through distortion, but I wasn't that impressed. Jupiter 6 - can't say as I haven't heard one but it can make some nice sounds, just play with it...i wasn't impressed at first, but then hit some nice patches...it's not smooth, very dirty, but still nice.
tage, thanks for the tip...i will try it!
