Very "out-there" type synth... Two parts multi-timbral I belive (I think you can have more than that via midi, but I got mine without a manual *sigh). My first FM synth, got it for about 200 bucks.

Great fricken buy. All the factory presets sound tinny and cheap, but just work on the patches for a while and everything falls into place. EQ the crap out of it with a low dial on a mixer and it shakes the walls still.

As far as looks goes, I think it's great, like an early Prophecy. I've dubbed it "The Green Monster" (and yes I live in boston ~_^).

It's a bit noisy still, being FM, so not really too smooth with the pitch changes if you really extend the attack and decay.

It's battery powered! Wooo! Take it out to a field and just sit there with it. Make some FM pads/bells/basses.

It's not a lead synth, but good for reaching beyond the average sounds that you hear all the time. The space bells preset on the high end could keep me busy for hours just making light and thin stuff. It's better than a rompler ^_^.

For 200 bucks, how could you go wrong? Bass is over-rated anyways ~_^.

Tony Valladares a hobbyist user from Tampa, Florida writes:
I use the Korg 707 as a controller changing channels and adjusting the volume of each channel during live performances.

I lost all the factory sounds of my Korg 707 while changing the internal battery. I would appreciate it if anybody could send them to me. I could reciprocate by sending back any data of my other synths (Kawaii k-1, Yamaha TG-100, kawaii R 100).

Thanks for your help.

Billi a professional user from Planet Las Vegas USA writes:
Picked one up at Pawn Shop here in Vegas for $125. Worth it for the Noizes! Cool to have as an extra module, but I haven't really gotten into programming it much other than twiddling it about. I got the puke-green one which looks pretty cool. Looking for an editor for Mac (Yeah, Right!). Use it mostly for bass w/ ext. flange & chorus stompbox. Fun, fun, fun...

Chris Ore a professional user from Sweden writes:
Highly underestimated FM synth. Works very well in a modern mix - especially the preset Lazer Bass sound. A lot easier to program than most other FM's too.

Daniel Skaborn a professional user from sweden writes:
Nice little FM thing! This one sounds wierdo and thats the best part of it. To get a nice sound, you have to use unison-assign mode.

Perfect for funky detroit techno basses!
