Louis Green a professional user from United States writes:
Nice digital sounds. Able to be both warm & gritty or clean & clear as a bell.

It lacks a little in the cosmetics department (puke-green, white, or pastel pink)

but other than that, I like the multi-timbral abilities and the broad MIDI SysEx

functions.

MIDI it to something good and get a guitar strap for it. Poof! Get from behind

the apex stand and enjoy the show! Synthy noise thingies aren't too bad, either.

Daniel Eriksson a part time user from Sweden writes:
The Korg 707 is a simple but dead-effective tool for creating those fat basses

found in oldschool housemusic ala Chicago, Detroit blah blah. The sound is very

reminiscent to the Yamaha DX100 (FM Synthesis) but I think its even better due

to it multi-timbrality and individual outputs (2). Also very, very odd sounds

that often beats the shit out of old boring analog synthesis...

One of my favourites.

Mike Miller a professional user from USA writes:
I have used mine for years and it's been great. It's taken alot of abuse. Like everyone says though, you have to program your own sounds - the stock ones are pretty weak. I have about 15 that I worked up a while ago and have pretty much worked with those since. It's pretty flexible and and is fairly compact and easy to drag around. Also you can use ROM cards for the DS-8 in this thing, so if you have stuff you like on one of those, most of it can be done with the 707.

euphorie a hobbyist user from .fi writes:
Some nostalgy with this cutie, it used to be my first synth. The sounds are

very much weird, but the "analogue-like" (well, somewhat similiar at least)

programming interface is much easier to use than DX's. It's good for digital

and weird stuff, but you can forget analogue emulations. However, I liked it

very much. I even managed to get _really_ experimental sounds with a rom-card

when I kept it in my wallet for a couple of months. I never knew you could

edit rom sounds ;)
