Nothing touches the weighted key mechanism and touch sensitivity. The entire device is programmable- it is the composing workstation I dreamed of in school... a kind of palette for the spectrum of all things that make noise. I still use alot of the original patches.

I have owned this board since 1995. I have yet to come across a synth that has so much to offer in one board. By adding anything to it makes you unbeatable. I have had kurzweils, rolands and they are all good. This board with its fat sound should be a staple in every studio. The piano 2 sound (comes standard with pro models) is one of THE best sounding pianos out there in a workstation. I have been playing and recording for 30 years and it still has something a lot of equipment lacks. Especially the newer stuff which I have tried them all. Good stand alone synth but better with a companion module. go with an e-mu 5000 ultra and you are bulletproof.

The 01/W Pro X is still the keyboard for me. I play mostly dinner engagements and it is a class A performance unit. The piano sounds were passable but I needed better quality so I added a Korg SG Rack Piano Module to round out the unit. Additionally, the availability of extra sounds makes the unit extremely versatile.

The O1/w is an awesome Keyboard. Even though it came out over 10 years ago it is still in demand, not only by regular keyboardists, but is also a vital peice of equipment in the studio.
