Just bought an old CX3, never upgraded. Keybed not too good (worn, double triggers, need a new one). Used to spend a lot of time behind the real thing, and never mind the shortcomings, this one is amazingly close! Why was this thing discontinued? There's nothing out there to beat it!

The Korg CX3 is the BEST! I also had the original CX3 which I had bought in 1980. This is just incredible! Thank you KORG!

RockinJoe a part-time user from USA writes:
I have the digital CX-3, version 2. You can't beat this organ sound WITH a Hammond and Leslie. I should know, I had an A-100 and TWO 147's. I can't say enough about this machine. The Tonewheel sound is great, "old" sounding and analog if you wish, more digital if you prefer. If there is anything about the sound not to your taste, edit it and save it. The only thing you cannot adjust is the vibrato and chorus settings, they are all fixed. I have the "leslie" sim on this so thick, I think it is even more pronounced than the real thing. Want an over-driven distorted sound, you can edit that too. I have played everything from a reverby church organ sound to the overdriven Steppenwolf sound! I know that NORD, Hammond, Roland and even Viscount make a very good tonewheel clone. The NORD has a great sound and a fine Leslie sim too, but they don't have "real" drawbars and what is with that red color? As far as Roland and Hammond, their Hammond Clones are first-class, but if the rotating speaker effect is important to you, you must get the KORG. Honestly, if you have a Leslie, you could certainly get just as good of a sound with one of the others. If you are a Hammond "purist", and do NOT want to lug around a Leslie, at least try this baby out.
