This unit is awesome. Much deeper then the old electribes,flexible and still simple enough to allow for most creativity. Korg has hit the mark again on this one. If you liked the old electribes, you will without a doubt love this one.

I've owned the EMX-1 for nearly a week now and am really happy with it. The sound is top notch with lots of punch. I only wish the synth engine went a bit deeper with more control over the envelopes and some more modulation flexibility. The sequencer is very easy to use and lots of fun for quickly scratching out ideas. The arpeggiator is the best feature and really makes it a great machine for 'live' situations.
