The Electribe MX features KORG's new cutting-edge MMT (Multi Modeling Technology) engine. The Synth Oscillator provides sixteen different oscillator algorithms. Giving the user incredibly fat sounds.

From someone who produces music for a living. The electribes are in every studio amateur or professional. Its a fact. The MX-1 is a new integral part of my studio, and others as well.

I love the Electribe concept and the MX is incredible. I can't believe the quality & feature on this gem for the price. If you're into dance music and want to put dope slamming grooves together with having to be an expert, this unit is all you need. It is the best I have ever used. I had the MC505 before and the MX blows it away completly.

I have to dis-agree with the previous post. The EMX-1 is absolutely *STUNNING*. You have to put it in context with what the gear is aimed at. This is the ultimate portable dance music production tool. I had the EM-1 and thought that was very good, excellent bass and drum sounds could be had a plenty. But I thought it was limited with only 2 synth parts and 8 drum parts. I was hoping Korg would make a more powerful version, and they have. This thing has a very fat organic feel to it. The drive feature adds serious punch to the sounds. It is cased in an attractive well layed out metalic blue case. Of all the grove boxes and Electribes that have come out in the last 7 years this one is by far the best. I use it in conjuntion with the ES-1 sampling electribe & they are awesome together. Total dance music heaven. Well done Korg.
