i had 2 at 2 different period of time, mid 80s,it's great,i accompanied it w/ the dx7,i liked this more than the yamaha.just becos i like analog sounds.best for synth string, bass, sweep, efx,i also played my bandmate's poly800(kyb ver)the same great sound, last year i bought another but it died so quick due to its age.anyway,a good analog especially for low-budget,or beginners,i had nord rack 2 and the more i played it i felt the nord just reached the level of poly/ex800,nothing more except the fm and mod gave the nord more edge.well, the korg ex and poly800 lacks the knobs,a drawback.

Good sounding bass and strings...I couldn't stand programming it...Not tweakable...Good module for a beginner.

Thhis synth is great I love the analog basss and punchy funk sounds... I use it in my acid and trance material and it will make AMAZING sounds It is a blast to program and quite rewarding...highly iunderrated at this time and I found mine for $250 us Unbelievably low in price for a classic Korg synth... hurry before the kiddies catch on to this ...

This is a nice little metal box released in 1983. It has knobs for volume, tuning
and sequencer-tempo. It has 1-track 256-step -sequencer and MIDI. One clumsy thing is the buttonpanel (sometimes when you write the sound, it takes two pushes instead of one and you'll overwrite some good patches). Yes, I like this synth. Two OSCs, Noise generator and VCF but no LFO (it has MG which is the same thing). Nice and strange sounds...
