A first class workstation/synth! You just switch it on and play no need to plug it into speakers as it already has them. I liked some of the preset sounds and with it being General Midi you can play midi files off the net quite easily but it only supports format 0; fortunatly korg have written a program to overcome this problem if you can get hold of it nowadays.
The keyboard action is one of the best i've used and the effects are varied and usable for a range of applications but the delay cannot be synced to match the tempo. The onboard sequencer is really not up to par these days. It only has keyboard plus 8 backing parts so you tend to run out of parts to sequence. The sound quality is noticeably deteriorated compared to the arrangement mode. I liked the stereo input. Being a workstation I would have liked to have seen 8 outputs for the sequencer though.
Overall This is a players keyboard. Its good for pub gigs, lounge playing or supporting your local jazz acts. Transporting it to gigs is going to be a pain as its very heavy. Some of the styles sound cheesy but check out the Bossa Nova style rhythm with analog kit selected. Now where have I heard that before? Oh yes, its Jean Michel Jarre's rhythm backing for Oxygene part 13!!
