I LOVE MY ES-50. I GOT IT FOR ABOUT $300 ON EBAY. THERE IS ANOTHER ONE IN EVEN BETTER CONDITION UP THERE RIGHT NOW FOR THE SAME PRICE. IT'S SURELY GOT IT'S LIMITS, NO MIDI, NOT CONFIGURABLE AT ALL LIKE THE MS 20, BUT IT'S ALSO ABOUT A THIRD OF THE PRICE OF THE MS 20 AND IT HAS *FULL POLYPHONY*!!!! HOW DID THEY DO IT WITH ONLY THREE OSCILLATORS? DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TECH BEHIND IT? IF SO FEEL FREE TO MAIL ME. I DEFINITELY LIKE THE E-PIANO AND STRING SOUNDS AND I HAVE ENOUGH OUTBOARD EFFECTS TO MAKE IT SOUND LIKE WHATEVER I WANT ANYWAY. I USE THIS WITH THREE MOOGERFOOGERS (WHAT CAN I SAY I LOVE HARDWOOD) AND THEY FIT RIGHT ON TOP. BE THE FIRST ONE ON YOUR BLOCK (IN THIS DECADE ANYWAY) TO HAVE A KEYBOARD WITH TABLET CONTROLS!

I´ve been curious about Korg ES-50 and PE-2000 since one guy (a local clerk in musicstore) tried to sell me one "lambda" for about 100€ with an Elka Rhapsody with same price.. now I´m really pissed off that I didn´t buy the ES-50, and so now I want to know how much I´d expect to pay for KORG PE-2000 & for ES-50 ????? please contact via e-mail : ((only serious facts and offers, please!!))

One of the best string synths out there. If you have a chance to buy one, go for it. Solina prices are bloated, and the Lambda looks cooler.

This is by far one of the best-sounding most beautiful synthesizers i have ever played! Fading Phase and chorus in and out w/ the joystick and the power of 3 oscillators (detunable) and full polyphony makes this a very expressive synth.

I bought my Lambda in the beginning of the 80s and I still consider it to be one of the best sounding polyphonic ensembles ever produced. The strings are just brilliant; shimmering and warm and even the brass-sound is unique and fat! I'm a Yamaha-fan but the Lambda will always be close to my heart! Needless to say, it's very limited - but masterpieces were created out of limitations so don't bother about that. If you find one - buy it!
