I've owned this module for a long time. I recently got a RE1 programmer off ebay and am now in love with it all over again....

for pads and organs this thing fits the bill I do mostly ambient electronica. the choirs samples are the same ones used in the M1 infamous "universe" patch. it was easy to recreat it on my m3r. top notch pro gear...

Nightshade a hobbyist user from Ukraine writes:
I owned this "toy" for $100 a month ago. Very good thing. Want to say first about manual book: its very understandable, and written with love to user! About sounds: for that money - very good. However, piano sounds really disappoints me. They much like to "nylon guitar" sounds. But some strings and organ sounds are great (within range of 1-2 octaves because they not layered). Pads are great. Unit have good effect-procressors. Internal keyboard is awful! Programming will be really hard without some external editing device (computer or RE). So, if you not have a computer, then buy RE. Generally, good buy for $100.

I've had the m3r since the very early 90's. It's had some hard knocks and still keeps going. Thank goodness for the RE1 editor. For classic sounds of that era, this is indespensable. I think I'd better buy a spare. Oh and the battery change is dead simple.

Dave A a part-time user from Melrose, MA, USA writes:
I got my M3r for free from Mortal Sound Studio in Charlstown, MA, USA run by A. Pinkham, who gave it to me because the battery died and he knew it would be a tiny bit of a project to get the sounds up and running again. At first up for sale @ $100, the gift has turned truly awsome for the great sounds I am now getting out of it! Am looking forward to loading more patches on it, and great thanks to SonicState for this awesome service and of course to Mortal Sound Studios in Charlstown MA USA..........!

Hank Spece a professional user from California writes:
I aquired the M3R from the bass player in my band (Madison Avenue)..He wanted my MO-PHATT, and I wanted the Korg. Even without the manual, I was immediatley able to get into the operating system an tweek the sounds. This unit is awesome. I love the rhodes and horn textures. I midi the m3r into my triton...It really extends my techno pads...It gives my rig more bite and sharpness. I think I'll keep this puppy...I LOVE IT....
