MicroKorg keeps me company thru headphones as I watch war coverage. The filters sound *really* digital, but they are supposed to. I love the way this thing sounds!

I havn't explored using this as a stand alone audio processor for live applicatons (DJing), but that's next.

One of its strongpoints, oddly enough, is the battery pack. I like having a keyboard in the studio that doesn't require a power outlet. It makes this keyboard ultra-portable. I seem to always have it under my arm.

All the patches are ,er, traditional, which is what I wanted. Some of the drum 'n bass patches are here a few years too late, but they are still fun to play with.

Got myself a KORG microkorg. Been playing with it for almost a month.

The synth looks cool, no doubt. esp in the dark, with all the red, orange blinking lights and stuffs..

The sounds are pretty FAT.. but seems to be lacking of the organic and dynamic feel, in my opinion. Sounds very 'computerish'. Fail in making ambient kinda tracks, but best for the more hardcore stuffs.

The arp settings are quite limited, and you really have to edit the arp seq to your needs.

In all, I think its a good synth. A pretty straight forward synth that will encourage you to play with it till you grow old.

This synth is an amazing little piece of tech. I own almost all of the VA's but this is crazy good and so cheap.

Access is overpriced hype shit

Wow! This little thing can be played all night long and you still wont get bored. Sounds very very good. Very fun to play - you look at it and then the next second its on ur lap and ur playing it.

Yeah, it has only 4 poly. BIG DEAL. The minimoog is what? monophonic? only one note at once? IT MUST SUCK! Four polyphonic is good enough since you can play one chord and a bass line with it. HELP!!!!! MINIKEYS!! OH MY GOD!!! Yeah, well learn to play them because they work fine and save a lot of space. The sk1 has even smaller keys. So does the cz101. Are the genre labels cheesy? I dont think so. It easily groups them so when you first get it you can see how things are arranged.

the synth section of this can really sound great. My only beef with it is that if you turn down the cutoff u may get some low aliasing. Dont turn the cutoff down. The vocoder can sound very good, but i dont really like many of the supplied presets at all. The arpeggiator is amazing. My groovebox has two pages of all the different patterns you can do (including guitar strums) but this one is just so great to work with.

Editing is fine for anyone with over 100 brain cells. You look across - down - boom. Very easy. You start to know where things are very quickly. Kiss my azz all of you - this is one great synth.

btw, yahoo.com has a group of users!

This keyboard is great, I play in a black church and I will love using the vocoder and some of the lead sounds.
