This is the best synthesizer ever made. It has a full spec vocoder that is better than anything else.
The synth sounds will make the Andromeda run for cover.
Next month we will be releasing the Triton mini classic, and the Micro Korg mini-me-minute-sliver edition.

The Microkorg does have a certain digital-sounding quality, but it reproduces analog tones and digital piano/organ sounds suprisingly well. The build and OS are also stable and flawless--I don't forsee any required updates. It may not be the most impressive performance synth, but it definately has it's place atop a rack or between two turntables... [or maybe Electribes!]

The micro is a nice and affordable synth.
Recommended to play via MIDI.
Sound editing isn't hard,just look at the parameterlist they put on top.
Great for bass and strings!!!
Groovebox eat your heart out,this sounds so much better then the Roland cheese.
The vocoder is a nive bonus,though it only has 8 bands it sounds way better then the vocoder in the SE-50.
For the money there is no alternative.
I had a MC303 and sold it it's a nightmare to program and sounds thin.

Good things: Sounds pretty good. vocoder is quite cool. (Weirdly, supplied mic works better than a "real" mic!) As the previous poster mentions, an MS2000 lite.
Bad things: External PSU. 4 note poly (lame), editing a pain in the ass, microphone construction cheezy and minikeys. .
What the hell were you thinking Korg? mini keys? Stop catering to the "i do beats" gang of idiots and give us something we can play. 2.5/5

Talk about good things coming in small packages. 128 out of the box presets, most of them quite useable, all of them tweakable. An on-board vocoder, and it can be used as a sound processor form other instruments. Construction is a bit toy-like, but for the price, you can't expect an A6. Basically MS-2000 Lite, the Micro Korg is a great addition to anyones set-up.
