Wow all these people complaining about the lack of polyphony and small keys! First of all it's a MICRO korg! And 2nd of all it's a descendant from the legendary MS-10 and MS-20, MS standing for MONO SYNTH! Polyphony is a bonus. This is not by any means a "consumer" synth, remember, it's not the machine someone uses, it's the way someone uses it, and obviously a lot of people are too lazy to go and edit the presets! That being said, this thing is awesome!! I'm going to use it combined with my ensoniq for some real electronic music. 5.

I've only had this amazing piece of gear for two hours now, but I'm in love! I have heard nothing but positive reviews, and I can only add my own positive one! At first, I was really put off by the editing[My PC doesn't like MIDI for some reason :(..? ]but after a little bit of tinkering, it is not as difficult to edit as people said.

Bottom line, if you want a sleek, powerful and sexy little beast, the MicroKorg is a MUST! Now, I've got to get back to playing with this amazing little synth!

Given the price point, this is a tremedous little keyboard synth. It takes a while to understand how to use it.Once you are familiar with how it works, and all of the functions, and cool effects it has available, it will become apparent how fully packed it is.

You need to take the time to tweak it, in order to come up with exactly the sounds you want.

Once you have figured out how it works, and save the sounds you want to have available at the push of a button, you will really enjoy it. You can create cool strings, deep bass sounds, electric organ sounds, spacey arpeggios, and sound effects.

For my money, its the best programmable little synth anywhere!

A great sounding portable synth, one of its best features is that it runs on batteries, the unit is compact, light & very easy to use.

The operation might be a little unusual at the start, but once you get your head around it you will be creating fantastic sounds in no time. All the features are laid out on the front panel so there's no menus. This thing does great bass, leads & sound fx, the vocoder is a cool feature as well. If you dont like the mini keys you can always use a master keyboard via midi.

Overall, a great addition to anyone's setup,i recommend this synth.

I love this thing, it is very portable and has such a huge sound that comes from it. I want to first say that I used to play piano, but I stopped almost ten years ago, so I am by no means an amazing keyboardist. I am in several bands, one is alternative rock, another is experimental, and another is techno. This thing provides me with plenty of useable sounds (B14 is the one the Killers use, A56 is the NES organ, etc) I also do covers of 80s and 90s pop, like aHa- Take on Me. The vocalist/rhythm guitarist in my alt rock band laughed at me, and then I played it and he was in shock because he didn't expect that from such a small synth. I think it is a great first synth for anybody because it is so easy to use and because it is a bargain for what you get. The vocoder can get pretty cool if you tweak it a little bit, and I find that the microphone that comes with it does a fine job. I chose it over the Micron for two reasons. After trying both out, I determined that the MicroKorg would be easier to program because it had more knobs and whatnot, and number two, I got it for $50 cheaper ($50 that will go towards my next synth). I actually prefer the mini keys because it makes it easy to play in a greater range without moving your hands (and my hands are small). This is my only synth so far, and I certainly intend to get another with synth with more features like a sequencer. This gets a 5 because it is what it is. It isn't perfect... only 4 note polyphony (but i don't really need that much anyway) and no sequencer. But it isn't meant to be the do-it all synth like a Triton, it is what it is... a microKorg

I also wanted to say that this site has helped me so much and that I hope that everyone
